Hello, my name is Anatol Mayen. My passion for computers began in my youth – a fascination that would shape my life. Early on, I knew that my professional future would be in software development. After completing my training as an application developer and subsequent studies in computer science, I took the leap into self-employment as a freelance software developer. A few years later, I co-founded a software agency for app development with an acquaintance. In 2016, we closed down the agency and I decided to work as a freelancer again.
With my return to freelancing came the idea for Evolve Tracking. My previous experiences had shown me that there was a need for time tracking software specifically tailored to the needs of freelancers – a tool that not only tracks time, creates invoices, and supports customer management, but also generates valuable statistics for your own freelance activities.
Since the first version that was able to save time entries, I have been using Evolve Tracking myself for my daily work. That was on June 15, 2016. Several years and many versions later, my local installation has recorded over 19,000 time entries and created 197 invoices – along with the associated statistics that have repeatedly helped me make the right decisions over the years.
What makes Evolve Tracking special is its origin story: it was developed by a freelancer for freelancers.
